Rosanne CashSet your DVR, tune in, and spread the word:

Grammy-award winning musician and Close Gitmo Now supporter Rosanne Cash goes head-to-head tonight with Comedy Central’s answer to Bill O’Reilly, Stephen Colbert.

Last week, over a dozen prominent musicians – including Cash, R.E.M., Pearl Jam, the Roots and Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine – added their voices to the rising chorus of support for the President’s plan to close the detention facility at Guantanamo.

And already we’ve seen an impressive response. Our campaign’s launch and the musician’s support of the President were covered by everyone from the New York Times and Huffington Post to MTV and Perez Hilton.

Not that the coverage has all been supportive. Liz Cheney – daughter of the man who approved the use of torture to begin with – has not surprisingly attacked the musicians, calling their support of the President, Colin Powell and the vast majority of our military leaders “pathetic.”

Now one of the nation’s most prominent conservative commentators, Stephen Colbert, is joining the fray and going head-to-head with Close Gitmo Now supporter and friend, Rosanne Cash. To see Rosanne teach Stephen a thing or two about patriotism, be sure to catch tonight’s episode of the Colbert Report.
