How can Congress possibly pay for an additional $33 billion for our failed strategy in Afghanistan? Republican Minority Leader John Boehner (R-OH) thinks they should do so by cutting your Social Security benefits.

In the coming days, the House is expected to vote on funding for the troop surge in Afghanistan, but a majority of Americans—58%—think we should start getting OUT of Afghanistan by beginning to withdraw in July of 2011.

And now the Pittsburgh tribune Gazette is reporting that Rep. John Boehner thinks that “ensuring there’s enough money to pay for the war will require reforming the country’s entitlement system.”

If that doesn’t reflect YOUR priorities for America, act now and tell your Representative to oppose the $33 billion war supplemental and support Rep. Jim McGovern’s effort to create a timeline for withdrawal.
